The Oil Paintings you see here showing Native American peoples and their lifestyles are taken from scenes I have experienced while visiting the Southwestern reservations. The White Mountain Apache, The Navajo Nation, The Hopi Nation and others have made an impression on my work that seems to appear, in one way or another, in most every one
of my paintings.

Also, my travels through Ecuador and visits to the homes of the Otavalo people, along with my trips to the Pueblos of New Mexico, have left a deep impression on me and my scenes of village life. -

About the Artist
I was born in Phoenix, Arizona and raised in Scottsdale, Arizona. In 1980 I began to study oil painting with Scottsdale artist and teacher, Jim Strong. My love of all things southwestern drew me to paint the culture I was raised in. After moving to Prescott, Arizona in 1995 I studied with Maureen Anderson, a local artist and teacher. My work reflects the history of Arizona and the Southwestern United States.
My travels in Mexico, South America, Africa and Australia have influenced my work not only in composition but also in the texture and colors I use.
Prior to moving to Prescott my work was shown in the Scottsdale Artist League’s gallery, and my paintings have also been shown and sold in Beverly Hills, California. My commissioned work seems to, most always, be for various American Western scenes that clients have fond memories of from our country’s early history, and a lifestyle long passed but not forgotten.
